Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 27, 2026

Humosity ("Humosity," "we," "us") operates humosity.com and the Humosity service. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It covers both our current waitlist and the full Humosity service as it launches.

Who can use Humosity

Humosity is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to join the waitlist or use the service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

What we collect today (waitlist)

While you're on the waitlist, we collect only your first name and email address, so we can let you know when Humosity launches.

What we collect once you're using Humosity

Once the full service is live, using Humosity may involve:

Humosity is text-based only. We do not use video or photo-based chat, and there is no public feed, profile browsing, or follower system — every exchange is private and one-to-one.

How we use information to keep Humosity safe

Humosity is designed to feel less like an open public space and more like a screened one. Every question and reply is checked against filters built to keep exchanges genuinely curiosity-focused, rather than personal, identifying, or inappropriate — a person can only send legitimate curiosity questions out, and can only respond to the specific questions they receive.

We also monitor usage patterns to spot behavior that doesn't fit that purpose — for example, a pattern of questions that appear aimed at a specific person or group rather than expressing genuine curiosity. Accounts showing this kind of pattern may have their reach automatically limited, be placed into a restricted mode, or be removed from the platform entirely. This monitoring exists solely to protect the people using Humosity — we do not use it to build advertising profiles or for any purpose unrelated to platform safety.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share information only with the service providers that keep Humosity running — for example, our hosting provider and our database provider — solely so they can provide those services to us, and with law enforcement where we're legally required to.

Where your information is stored

Your information is stored with our database provider in the United States, protected using standard industry security practices.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you're on the waitlist and change your mind, we'll remove your email on request.

Changes to this policy

As Humosity develops — particularly as we build out the matching feature and its safety systems — this policy will be updated to reflect that. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
